The go button on a lighting desk is the button that the lighting operator presses to move between cues (or memories). Depending on the complexity of the desk, and how the lighting operator has it set up, the go button may cause the next transition to happen in a set length of time, of the time could be programmed in on a per-cue basis. If the lighting operator is using a relatively advanced lighting desk, and the show or play isn't particularly complex, then he can easily go the whole show just pressing the go button when the DSM tells him.
