Baruch is a
complex and
subtle philosopher, his idea of
modes, and the reality of
god is difficult to understand mainly because it is couched in language that was not equiped to deal with the concepts he wishes to represent. Nowadays there are more paraphrases of his work than ever before, and as the other arguments for the existence of god fall by the way of
nihilism, good old Spinoza's arguments still have people thinking.
That can never be a bad thing.
