The
art of being a
positive pessimist. Expect the worst
and be happily surprised if it turns out better. If your
expectations are met, you can always squeeze some meagre
joy out of saying "
there, didn't I say so?". It's a
philosphy that lets you avoid many
nasty surprises, while
having a
sense of humour about the whole thing.
Posimism doesn't actually
work, but it's still a
nice theory.
