A bronze prehistoric Nordic instrument that was used from the 12th to 6th centuries B.C.. The Lur is in the shape of a sort of twisted S which ends in a flat ornamental disc instead of a bell (which it lacks). The Lur is usually found in pairs, which when played simultaneously by one person, give a look similar to mammoth tusks.
I haven't the faintest idea as to why this is being downvoted, there's really nothing else to the history of the lur, truly, there isn't. I'd have done a more comprehensive writeup but this is it.
