The
English title of the
Fushigi Yuugi anime.
Pioneer's
US release has come in two flavors (as
imported
anime is wont to do):
dubbed and
subtitled. The subtitled
version, appealing to the more
hardcore fans, retains the original title, while the dub's title was translated to "Mysterious Play".
I actually like this - it makes the dub much easier to avoid on the shelf, since I don't have to look for the fine print that says "English dialogue" or something. Of course, DVDs solve the problem entirely.
