Turbo Boost, or
nitros seems to be a
feature of almost all
cartoonish or
futuristic car racing games. By burning what boils down to is burning
rocket fuel and going at
ludicrous speed, Turbo Boost lets you go far faster than the car should. In most games it is either fuelled by
pickups (items on the ground), or powered by devices in the road surface.
As a general rule, you have less than adequate steering, and crashing is a Bad Idea.
