Vivienne Westwood is a world-famous fashion designer. She originally began designing jewellery but started designing clothes in the 1970's.

She became romantically involved with Malcolm McLaren, manager of The Sex Pistols, and her designs were greatly inspired by punk rock and bondage. She opened a shop called Sex in the King's Road, Chelsea.

She is now more closely associated with Haute Couture, although many of her designs are still regarded as flamboyant. There are several Vivienne Westwood boutiques in London, including one in Conduit Street and one just off Berkeley Square.
