harpist born in 1921 in
New York City.
He attended
Juilliard and played with the
National Symphony Orchestra and later
in a
U. S. Coast Guard band led by
Rudy Vallee.
He also composed pop hits like Ebb Tide, Shangri-La,
and the immortal Solfeggio: The Song of the Nairobi Trio.
