Dois M (pronounced
dosh em if I recall correctly, but my
Portuguese is rusty) is an unremarkable
lager brewed by a
South African Breweries owned brewery in
Maputo,
Mozambique. It is fairly light, and like most
SAB beer, very
drinkable in vast quantities. It is to
Mozambique what
Castle Lager is to
South Africa.
The only truly interesting thing about 2M is that it tastes faintly of burning tractor tyres. It isn't overpowering, but the taste is definitely there. Despite this, nothing beats sitting on a tropical beach staring out over the Indian Ocean and sipping a 2M.
