Astute
listeners can often recognize Baroque music by its
strict adherence to
rhythmic ideas and
unique harmonic tendency to focus on the melody and the bass lines, to the detriment of melodic development of the inner lines.
My recommendations are "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi, Mozart's Requiem, and "Water Music" by Handel.
