Along these same lines, in the
United States, along the
Gulf of Mexico, people go to the grocery store in June or July and get "free maps" which show the entire southern third of the United States and the whole of the gulf. It includes all of the relevant islands, etc as well as
Longitudes and
Latitudes.
The instructions on the map tell you how to "keep track of hurricanes" at home. You are encouraged to plot the course of each storm (Use different color pencils! )
as the season progresses. The idea here is to give you an easy to use, home version of the Hurricane Season as it progresses.
Sort of like scoring a baseball game. Sorta.
