You looked down at me and I up at you. It looked like the
sky was cradling you in its arms.
This was a good idea.
As night fell around you, the stars punched holes in the fabric of the sky, letting tiny beams of light surround you like June fireflies.
The moon rose and shone about your head like a halo. I closed my eyes and you were still there, still blanketed in a play of darkness and light.
You falling asleep on me? Even with my eyes closed, I could see the grin.
I opened my eyes and saw the sky still laying around you, and I was jealous. I wanted you to myself, perfect creature that you were.
Pulling you closer, closer, soon enough the sky didn't matter anymore. It was just you.
