Skee-Ball (thing)

I think I've enjoyed skee-ball for damn near all of my 25 years. And I'll probably enjoy it for 25 more. Maybe it's the simple gameplay. Maybe it's the old-style carnival coolness. Maybe it's the fact that I can win Pac-Man temporary tattoos at the nearest Skee-Ball emporium.

Fun skee-ball Facts:

• Invented in 1909 by J.D. Estes in Philadelphia
• Originally had 36-foot lanes, meaning that they would never fit in most modern mall arcades
• Was banned in some places in the United States due to regional gaming laws
• the wooden balls have a diameter of 7.9 centimeters (about 3 1/8 inches), and weigh 155.5 grams (about 5 oz.). of course, those measurements are subject to change as per any gameplay damage incurred
