Foghat was founded in the early
70's by
Englishmen "Lonesome" Dave Peverett (
guitar/
vocals),
Tony Stevens (
bass),
Roger Earl (
drums), and
Rod Price (
guitar) .. the
band enjoyed moderate
success with such singles as "
Slow Ride" off of 1975's
Fool for the City.
once the 80's arrived the band had all but fallen into obscurity .. they broke up shortly thereafter .. 75% of the original members held reunion tours and such
later on in the 80's and the 90's.
the band recently (June 7, 2000) decided to continue on "for good" after the death of "Lonesome" Dave Perret earlier this year (February 7, 2000).
