Indigenous
frog of
Puerto Rico. They are about the size of a
quarter and supposedly bring
good luck. The name comes from the
sound they make, "co-kee!" or simply "kee!"
At night on secluded parts of the
island, the chorus of coqui frogs is the only thing you can
hear.
