A long (10-20 foot) pole with 2-4 metal
tines on the end. The overall result looks much like a giant fork, and the actual purpose of the thing is to stab
frogs.
Presumably for eatin' up some frog legs.
Hint... boil then deep fry. Think chicken gizzard.
