A portmanteau of information and pornography, used as a layer title in Serial Experiments Lain. Have heard it related to Gibson's Neuromancer, probably with nodal points or somesuch. Wired has a feature entitled Infoporn that shows some sort of dataset, an interesting trend or pretty data maps.
Refers to the thrill that learning something new elicits, usually with base information. A great example of this is newspapers such as The Star, the proliferation of magazines of every kind, and of course bargain-basement gossip. I'm pretty sure this is also the lure behind Slashdot Addiction and of course Everything Addiction. Heck, I'm noding this at work, so there must be something to it.
