Baker Hall started acting when he was 40, and is probably best known for his work with Paul Thomas Anderson - Hard Eight, Boogie Nights and Magnolia - and for Robert Altmans Secret Honor, where he played Richard Nixon.
Other notable bit-parts include The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Truman Show, The Insider, Say Anything... and Midnight Run. He also excelled in the part of the library detective Lt. Bookman in the TV-series Seinfeld.
