Hagi is a city of some 50,000 inhabitants in
Yamaguchi prefecture, Western
Honshu,
Japan.
The city is situated on the Abu River, and was famous in history for being a castle-fortified town of the Mori during the era of Tokugawa.
In modern times, Hagi's craftspeople are admired for their fine pottery and bamboo ware.
