Recording artist based in Blacksburg, VA, heavily influenced by the early 90's college radio movement, with his music drawing comparisons to Nirvana, the Melvins, and Ween. From a Deral Fenderson promotional flyer: "I hesitate to place myself in a specific genre. That's really only a way to begin limiting yourself. I play music. Sometimes it's pretty, sometimes it's not. I pick up instruments (even if I don't know how to play them, and I make them do what I want them to do. I have had a lot of musical training, but sometimes I don't even have a clue what I'm playing. Music just happens sometimes."
Fenderson's sporadic live performances are always entertaining bouts of chaos and amp noise, spontaneous Happy Flowers covers and filled with rants about advertising, mass media culture, and if you are lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you see it), a Field Trip to Hell.
