Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith, described Himself as the Divine Physician come to heal the afflictions of humanity. His teachings emphasized the spiritual unity of humanity and the oneness of all religions. Baha'u'llah, as an Arabic word, means "The Glory of God" and is a title that was given to Him. When he was a young man he was known as "the father of the poor". He was born in 1817 and died in 1892.
