MEATH

county in
Ireland. It is on the east coast just north of the county of Dublin and south of the county of
Louth.
Towns in Meath include
Navan,
Trim,
Ashbourne,
Slane,
Nobber,
Kells and
Nobber. Also in Meath is The Hill of
Tara, which is site of the seat of the ancient high kings of Ireland. It is therefore known as "The Royal County".
The major river in the county is the river Boyne which was the site of the by now infamous "
battle of the Boyne" in 1690.
