I don't feel that a gift is taken away.
Each person has a special gift or gifts. It could be music, art, writing, athletic ability or even empathy. It could be anything. Some people take longer than others to find out what that gift is. Others are lucky enough to know from the beginning. Then, there are those that find that their gift has left them. It isn't so! It is just hiding under the surface waiting to be tapped again. It is buried beneath the crud of self judgement. All that self criticism mutes passion, mutes feeling, but most importantly mutes love. Love yourself, release your passion, realize your worth.
I think you will find that your gift is right where you left it, within YOU!
