Due to some strange Canadian law or regulation about using the word war in a children's show.. The fine people at Mainframe entertainment had to rename their show known in the states as Beast Wars for canadian television. They also ran into this problem with their show War Planets which they had to rename Shadowraiders.

A general term used to describe animals or any kind of living organisem, usually when they speak as absolutly no idea what they are.

Used sometimes to ridicule and make the dangerous ones seem smaller. Like in "What do you mean 300 HP? Those beasties must eat some kind of cereal for breakfest!"
