In Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill
movie(s),
"Beatrix Kiddo" is the name
of the kick-ass kung-fu samurai superhero maternal heroine bride (whew).
Of course, Tarantino goes out of his way to keep the audience from actually hearing the name, bleeping
it out
so that we are left thinking that "Kiddo" is nothing more than an affectionate
nickname
Bill has for the Bride. Not until the last
chapter of Vol. 2 do we actually hear the name; immediately thereafter comes
the shortest, most inane scene of both movies, where a kindergarten teacher is taking roll call, and an
adult Uma Thurman answers to the name "Beatrix Kiddo."

Go back and watch Kill Bill: Vol. 1 again. The Bride's name is bleeped out every single time, but rather poorly. It's quite obvious that her name starts with a 'B', and ends with either an 'X' sound, or an 'S' sound. Combined with lip-reading, I had guessed that her name was "Beatrice" when I rewatched Vol. 1 before going to see Kill Bill: Vol. 2. The last name is hidden in plain sight, as Doches mentioned, but with everything else placed just so in the movies, I believe Tarantino wanted viewers to be able to guess it.
