BioPassword LogOn is a new
software application from
Net Nanny, those wonderful
net censorship folks. BioPassword LogOn measures not only the
password, but exactly how it is typed into the
machine when a
user logs on. The software
analyzes keystroke
dynamics to measure things like key speed and
rhythm. Thresholds can be adjusted to low or high sensitivity. If the user template does not match the way a person types in the password, the user is locked out.
Apparently, if someone has a hand injury or just has stiff joints one day they may have to get someone from the computer department to get them into their own computer. Things would definately be tough if you had a hand or arm in a cast.
This application was demonstrated at COMDEX in Las Vegas.
Yes, it is spelled that way with caps.
