A 8bit computer in the 80s. Had a build in casette drive and an optional disc drive (3"). The CPC was build by Amstrad in the UK and by Schneider in Germany. It was equipped with a green or a colour monitor. The graphics engine was better (more colors) than other 8bit computers at that time, but the sound was worse than e.g. the sound from the Commodore C64. The CPC was one of the contenders in the 8bit wars between C64, CPC and Spectrum users. The games were very good and one might remember Zynaps or "A man and his droid".
The CPC 464 had 64k of RAM but there were also versions with 128k (CPC 6128) and one with a builtin disc drive (CPC 664). CP/M was delivered with the disc drive.
