I may drop in to work with a birthday cake or two, the pseudo gourmet that I am, but nothing I have made has topped the dead bunny cake.
The cake was some strange sort of devil's food cake, colored with enough red food coloring to make it appear bloody and yet still retaining a hint of chocolate enough to give it, ahem, body. It was baked in a bunny pan, decorated with white frosting, coconut, and the cutest little black Xs for eyes.
My cooking has a long way to go to reach such a vaulted degree of style. I'll just have to keep practicing.
