Duelist

A magazine published by Wizards of the Coast to promote their game Magic: the Gathering. The first issue was published early in 1994, and throughout 1994 and the beginning of 1995, it was published on an erratic schedule, which eventually became bimonthly, and later monthly. The last issue, number 41, was published in late 1999, and was devoted entirely to Pokemon.

Duelist tried for a while to be a trade magazine for the collectible card game genre, and even a general gaming magazine for a while, but there was still a strong focus on M:tG all along.
