Γαλεωτης
The son of Apollo and Themisto, who was herself the daughter of Zabius, king of the Hyperboreans. He was the ancestor of a race of Sicilian soothsayers. With Telmissus, another Hyperborean, Galeotes went to consult the oracle at Dodona. They were instructed to travel, one to the East and the other to the West, until an eagle swooped down and robbed them of the meat of the offering made during a sacrifice. At that place they were to raise an altar. Galeotes went to Sicily and Telmissus stopped in Caria.
