Take a group of
geeks, throw them in a house together, watch them play more games, buy more
hardware, write more
code, and get less sleep than ever before.
This, along with naming one's house, is an idea that everyone thinks they invented. But I knew of several named geek houses in 1989, and I bet they weren't the first.
I think the idea originally came from some sort of collective geek conciousness.
