Disgusting de-alcoholised German "beer", and one of the few reasons to hate Germany, although I suspect that the USA turn out even more perverted alcohol-free brews. Some men drink Gründels to prove they've got balls. Some just drink it because they've got to drive home, and are desperate for something that at least looks like beer even if it tastes like plain water.
Gründels is made by the Karlsberg brewery in Homburg, Germany (international brand: "Karlsbräu"). You will observe that on the bottle, the name is spelled "Gründel's". I, however, protest this incorrect use of the apostrophe in German and thus omit it.
