A British comic strip by Colin B Morton and Chuck Death, which appeared in the New Musical Express and assorted other music magazines. Almost entirely based around rock and pop stars, usually to tell the story of a particular band or performer. (random example: "The Grateful Dead - They tried to change the world by playing continously since 1966!") The strip has a strange trick of deliberately getting its facts completely (yet amusingly) wrong, but still staying weirdly relevant... in the Great Pop Things world Jean-Paul Sartre was the bassist in Led Zeppelin, and Madonna grew up in a nuns' coven (sic).

This node would be longer, but I have just been interrupted. I'll add some more to it when I can.
