1. Haverford is another small
liberal arts college located in the outskirts of
Philadelphia,
PA. It once was all
male, but switched to
co-ed in the early
1980s. It's known for having an
honor code, a
cricket team but not a
football team, and a reasonably serious
workload.
Haverford is about a mile and a half down the road (Highway 30) from Bryn Mawr, which is still considered its sister school. Students at Haverford can take classes there, at Swarthmore and at UPenn.
2. The name of the township in which Haverford College is located. What's there? Nothing. It hosts some houses and yuppy shops, but not even a pizza parlor unless you go to Ardmore or Bryn Mawr.
