A variant of
Angband,
Ingband (written by Robert Shiells) is short for "
Ironman Angband". The gameplay is much the same as the original, except that the use of
up-stairs,
Word of Recall,
level teleport, and
shops is forbidden, thus enhancing the
game's
challenge. These
handicaps also make it
difficult to
win and tend to shorten
playing time, thus making it an ideal
time suck.
