Caustic Window's Joyrex J4 EP was released by Rephlex Records in July, 1992 as catalog number CAT004.

Released on 45rpm 12" vinyl and limited to just 2000 copies, Joyrex J4 EP is very hard to come by. Originally, there was no tracklist on the EP, and thus, some of the songs were given alternate names. Later on, Rephlex gave an official note on the correct tracktitles.

Joyrex J4 EP was succeded by Joyrex J5 EP and Joyrex J9 EP (see also Joyrex J9).
