Kita-Shinchi, or "North New World", is a station on the Tozai Line in Osaka. It's located, as you might expect, on the north side of the Shinchi district, and spans the basements of three large office buildings.

The station is about four blocks south of Osaka Station, and within easy walking distance (fifteen minutes dawdling, five minutes at a brisk pace) of the various Umeda stations on the Osaka City Subway. Kita-Shinchi marks the southern boundary of Umeda's network of underground shopping arcades, so you can stop in at any number of boutiques on your way from train to train.

Transfers from Osaka Station to Kita-Shinchi are free: just put your ticket through the turnstile at one station, carry it with you to the other station, and use it again.
