Larry Wilcox was born in California and raised in Wyoming. Wilcox was ranchhand Dale Mitchell on
Lassie between 1972 and 1974. He also made guest appearances on
M*A*S*H,
Hawaii Five-O and
The Streets of San Francisco.
His best known role was of officer
Jon Baker on
CHiPs. Wilcox left the show in 1982, one year before it was cancelled. Wilcox later played several roles in
Murder, She Wrote episodes and directed "The
Dorothy Stratten Storyā€¯ which starred
Jamie Lee Curtis.
According to his website, www.larrywilcox.com, "he has founded and operates several multimedia and telecommunications companies". He is married to Marlene Harmon Wilcox and has five children, Wendy, Derek, Heidi, Ryan and Chad from three marriages.
