An album by Richard Cheese, released in October, 2000. Richard manages to defang and send up a great number of the angsty, whiny songs with half-assed lyrics that have been popular with the alternative rock crowd. All songs on the album are cover songs, but done in the ridiculous style of a Vegas lounge act.

I'd recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys comic parody of popular music, or who enjoyed the Benzedrine Monks of Santo Demonica.

Particularly telling about this disc is his spoken intro to Creep. It goes something like this:

"You know folks, I was talking with my honey the other day. My Pablo Honey. I said to her, I said, 'Pablo Honey,' I said, I said, 'You go to my head. My Radiohead.' Ok, Computer!"

And then it it kicks in to a boogie-woogie version of the song. Complete with a whistle solo.

He also ends the song by screaming "Fitter, Happier, More Productive. A pig in a cage on antibiotics." Excellent touch.

Oh, yeah, he introduces Nirvana's Rape Me by saying, "Here's one for the ladies."
