A
slang term for the
fast food chain McDonald's, used in
Australia and
Britain. In those countries, they are known for good
chips (not
fries), good
burgers (yes they are considered good), and in general, a
quality place to get
food.
McDonald's burgers are of sub-par quality when compared to Burger King and Harvey's (an excellent fast food chain in Canada), but in Australia and Britain, the American hamburger is only really served at McDonald's, so they have no competition and no way to compare the quality.
I was astonished when a British friend of mine in Shanghai said "How does McDonald's make their burgers so fucking good?". I responded with a "What the fuck are you talking about?" and then he explained he never had a better burger than the ones at Maccers. Harvey's should open up in Britain. They'll make a fortune.
