Mary Tighe, (9 October 1772 - 24 March 1810), Irish poet, daughter of Rev. William Blachford. Tighe married Henry Tighe in 1793. She died in Woodstock, County Kilkenny, Ireland.

Tighe is known for a single very popular poem published during her lifetime, Psyche or the Legend of Love. The poem is the story told by Aspuleius, written in Spenserian stanza. It was first printed privately in London in 1805. In the years following her death, it was reprinted several times, along with poems unpublished during her lifetime. After that, it was virtually ignored, until the second half of the 20th. c., when it went back into print, often compared with the work of John Keats.
