Waiting to weep

I am waiting to weep

I want to write beauty

All those writers who paint the page with words of beauty

I am working today

I am so tired

I give in to despair

The surrendering heart has it’s own beauty
Just to open entirely to grief
To loss
To despair
Going on with the normal day

I try not to weep on my patients

Only four more today

If one asks “How are you?

I may slip and fall
I am too tired to lie today
I have no skin
I have no cover
My social mask has always been a thin veneer
It has crumbled and is lost

I am waiting to weep
