This is a product produced by the Life-Like Company, originally part of Pleasant Company, which is now part of Mattel. Basically, it's a company that makes dolls to look like oneself. Observing their catalogue, one finds pictures of eerily smiling, Village of the Damned-esqe children holding little clones. These dolls can cost up to $160 and have matching outfits for doll and girl. Also observing the catalogue, there is a definite lack of African-American and Asian children. There are no Latino children at all. Take from that what you will...

To be fair, you can get Latino, African-American, and Asian My Twinn dolls. The catalog has you choose a face shape, skin tone, hair color, and hair type from a fairly large list of options; the combinations of these will produce a doll that can mimic a girl of any ethnic background.

That said, this is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen. If anyone I knew gave one to my daughter, I would burn it and stop talking to them.
