Porlammi is relatively small village in southern
Finland appr. 100 km from
Helsinki. It's part of
Lapinjärvi municipality.
There are about 750-800 inhabitants and primary industry is farming (with bit over 20 farm's) though there is also biggest
piggery in whole Finland.
Porlammi is also famous about is's
dairy which makes famous black label
Emmental cheese.
There is elementary school and upper secondary school which has pupils from surrounding municipalities including Lapinjärvi Center,
Myrskylä and
Artjärvi.
From Pyhäjärvi (lake) starts Koskenkylänjoki (river) with four rapids good for fishing.
