Randy Travis (Randy Bruce Traywick), the country singer, was born in
Marshville,
North Carolina, May 4,
1959. He signed on to
Warner Bros., releasing his first single in
1985. His debut album, Storms Of Life, defined what was then the new style of country music, and his second album, Always & Forever, made him both wealthy and famous, selling over 5 million records.
