Rubbish Heap was the first video put out by World Industries, and they did rather well on their inaugural release.
Released in 1989, Rubbish Heap was directed by Spike Jonze, who would go on to direct Video Days, arguably one of the greatest skateboarding videos ever made. It featured the talent of Jeff Hartsel, Jesse Martinez, Jeremy Klein, Steve Rocco (World's founder), Mike Vallely, and the mind-blowing work of Rodney Mullen. The video also features Chris Branagh's little brother eating a worm, vomiting, and a dog eating the vomit.
The movie, while rough around the edges, showcased the outer limits of innovation, and some of the first skating of handrails ever. Also, the vomiting part is pretty funny.
