Samantha Janus was born on the 2nd of November, 1972 in England. She had a rocky start to life having been expelled from several schools and leaving home at the age of 15 to live the wild child lifestyle in squats (she confessed to not eating, drinking too much and taking various
drugs).
Despite all odds, Janus went on to become an actress who's probably best remembered as the
blonde bombshell "Mandy" in "
Game On!" She has also appeared in films, stage shows, TV adverts and has represented Britain in the 1991
Eurovision Song Contest (she came joint 10th).
She married Mauro Mantovani (a steward for
British Airways - not a pilot as some sources report) in 1997, but they were divorced a year later. She has a 2 year old son from her actor boyfriend
Mark Womack and they recently moved to a bay-fronted, two-bedroom ground-floor flat in
Hampstead. She also has a younger sister, Zoë.
