Think: Before the 20th century all music had to be played live by a musician. The choice was for a band to be present while "on the job", or one must forego the pleasure of rhythmic accompaniment while engaging in the act. Without a decent metronome, either party's timekeeping is more prone to going astray, and hip-thrusting is left with a smaller pallete.

I, for one, am glad to live in these more civilised times.

Is it possible that in our coddled era, we understate the value of tents? I think on barn dances and fireside drumming with new illumination. Yours truly considers driving music essential to a memorable performance. Better in a comfortable bed than with rocks in your back.

Please join me in a moment's pity for our progenitors.

"Your modus operandi is really all right, out of sight
Your sweet phalanges
Know how to squeeze
My gastronomical stupensity is really satisfied when you're loving me"
