Soccamatic, a new Wallace and Gromit short film.
Yes, they're back!
Thanks to the BBC and Nick Park's Aardman Studios this is the first appearance for Wallace and Gromit since 1995's A Close Shave, which undoubtedly was one of the funniest peaces of animation ever.
The new two minute feature is just the first out of ten shortfilms of the two technofreaks (which will be able via pay per view on the Aardman Website) and according to Park the long awaited feature film will be out by 2004, produced by Dreamworks.
Now, what's it all about?
Well, obviously it's about technology, the Wallace and Gromit way. Playing a bit of one on one soccer, Wallace gets frustrated with Gromit's goalkeeper skills and gets one of his contraptions to help him out.
This is good (alas short), clean fun, with all the features a classic Wallace and Gromit feature has to have: a frustrated dog, whacky brassmusic, tea, cheese and crackers.
