It’s a bittersweet
as I pack up my things,
cleaning out the space
that became my refuge.
The summer that was
supposed to be awful
turned out to be amazing.
Sweet memories as
I sweep up the floor,
months of accumulated dust,
gone in a few short moments.
But I won’t forget.
You,
me,
the trees,
the feasts,
feasting on you,
slow lazy mornings,
sunshine coffee clutch,
intense nights,
and the list goes on.
A piece of me is
near tears as
I sit in my packed truck,
and a bigger piece is
So incredibly grateful to have
had this opportunity, and
honored to have spent
so much of it
with you.
